experience at Lutheran
Part of Business Academy at Lutheran High School is course requirements. These requirements are Personal Finance, Leadership, Business Studies, Sales and Marketing, and Accounting. While all of these classes top to bottom benefited me in a huge way and prepared me for my education at the next level, I have only included the aspects from these classes that I applied and put into action during this capstone. I also included some large projects.
- Business Studies- Current events and how they affect your business, how to read trends and fads in an industry, what a specialty company's struggles are, how long it takes for new company to make profit and what it takes
- Personal Finance- How to manage income; in order to start making money, you need to spend money; how to divide paychecks
- Leadership- how ethics correspond to business, perseverance regardless on what you think in your head, trusting God through it all no matter what, mentorship is a great tool and asking for help is not a bad thing. Also, how to be a leader to employees and coworkers in a respectful manner.
- Sales and Marketing- How to market a company in person, how to virtually market a company, how to read a demographic and focus advertising into that demographic, what the 4 p's mean, why a pronged marketing plan is important especially in a time of pandemic.
- Accounting- How to do your taxes for your business yourself as well as how to do books for your own business instead of hiring someone
Sales and Marketing- Market a company as if you were a marketing firm manager
Leadership- The art of leading by example- 3 interviews included- Old School v. New School leadership
Personal Finance- 5 Year Plan- The ideal life for someone over the span of 5 years from a financial POV
Business Studies- Final Project- Facebook Strength of current status- Company wide

Conclusion of Experience
The experiences that I have gained through business academy and through Loose Laces, as well as my personal experience has benefited me in tremendous ways. It has not only grown my character as a man of God, but it has also prepared me for my college education and my professional life beyond. I believe that business academy at Lutheran High School aptly prepared me for my college degree studies, giving me a leg up over my peers.
